Final Fantasy XIII Pre-Ordered.

February 22, 2010

I finally pre-ordered Final Fantasy XIII for Playstation 3.  I really can’t wait for this one. It’s also being released on XBox 360 for the first time, but there seems to be speculation that the XBox version will only be running at 576p SD, while the PS3 version will run at 720p HD. If that’s true, it’s odd that Square-Enix would release a subpar version of their game on a system not equipped to handle it, apparently.

Tarja Solo Songs.

February 16, 2010

Here are some songs Tarja Turunen has performed since she’s gone solo.

The first is Passion And The Opera from Nightwish’s Oceanborn album. Embedding is disabled on this video, so click the video to go to YouTube. It’s not quite as good as the Nightwish version, but I like what she does with her voice from 2:30 to 3:30, which is a little different than on Oceanborn.

The next two are from a Christmas concert she did in December 2006. Ignore what she did to her hair at this point.

Happy Christmas

You Would Have Loved This

Here’s a rare cover song of Anki Bagger’s Where Were You Last Night done by Nightwish with highlights from the 2005 Lowlands concert.

Tarja Turunen ‘What Lies Beneath’

Tarja and the band are in the studio recording her next album What Lies Beneath and she’s blogging updates almost daily. From what I’ve read, it should be a good one!
